Pai and Mae Hong Son Adventure - 6 days

Your guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel. Our first stop today will be Mae Taman. Here you will enjoy a zipline adventure that will take you a couple of times over the Mae Taeng River. You will fly from tree to tree. An exciting adventure that will bring you to in total 18 stations.  Before continuing we will have lunch at Mae Malai. After lunch drive to Pai.Along a winding road we travel onwards through Huay Nam Dang National Park. Late afternoon arrival in Pai.

Overnight at the Pai Hot Spring Spa Resort – Standard room

After breakfast drive to the Black Lahu village Luk Kao Lam. From here we will walk about 1,5 hours to Nam Bor Pee (Spirit Pond).  Here we will enjoy a jungle lunch. After lunch we will walk for about three hours to our destination of today which is the Lisu village Mork Sa Pae.  The trail goes up and down. We walk through deciduous and mixed deciduous forest. These Lisu have migrated recently from Myanmar.  Your guide will explain in detail about the Lisu.

Overnight in a village house.

In the morning we will drive to Mae Hong Son. We will visit the market and drive up to Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, on top of Doi Kong Mu.The temple affords a spectacular view of the valley in which Mae Hong Son is located. The temple has two large white chedis. The architecture is typical Shan. We descend Doi Kong Mu and visit Wat Phra Non, a small temple that houses a reclining Buddha statue and Wat Kam Ko, a temple that is located right across the street from Wat Phra Non. We continue to Mae Hong Son’s most famous temple, Wat Jong Klang, which is located on the lake. Lunch will be at the Salween River Restaurant. The afternoon is free at leisure. An optional tour to a Padaung (Long Neck) village and/or an elephant ride can be arranged.
